What to Keep in Every Guest Room

What to Keep in Every Guest Room

Whenever you have guests coming in — either from down the block or out of town — you’ll, of course, want to make sure they’re comfortable throughout their entire stay. However, before they arrive, there are a few things you should stock up on and keep in their rooms to make them feel right at home.

Toiletries

It’s true, there isn’t a single person in the world who hasn’t forgotten to pack either a toothbrush or deodorant when they head off on a trip. To help remedy this, have a small basket of toiletries waiting for guests to use. You can include things like shampoo, conditioner, toothpaste, mouthwash, lotion, and more.

An Iron

After spending a few hours inside a suitcase, even the most neatly-folded clothes can look like a wrinkled mess. To combat this, provide your guests with an iron (or steamer) so they can make their clothes look smoothly and presentable for outings.

Extra Linens

While you should already have replaced the sheets, blankets, and towels before your guests arrive, you should also have extra fresh linens available for your guests to use as needed. Also note that when we say fresh, we mean it. If you extra linens that have been sitting in a closet for a while, give them a quick wash to ensure they’re clean and dust-free.

Trash Bin

Certainly, you don’t want to force your guests to collect used tissues and snack wrappers in a small pile by their nightstand. A garbage can in a room is often a small, forgotten luxury, but make sure to provide guests with one so they can easily dispose of any and all garbage they have.
