Enhance Your Home with an Air Cleaner

Allergy and asthma sufferers and those sensitive to dust, mold, and other allergens can greatly benefit from the use of an air cleaner and/or in-duct air purifier (REME Halo). Dust, dirt, allergens, mold, bacteria, and even viruses pollute our indoor air, making it uncomfortable and even unhealthy to breathe. Whole-house air cleaners work with your HVAC system to reduce or remove these contaminants, greatly improving the quality of the air circulating in your home.

REME HALO In-Duct Air Purifier

The REME HALO® in-duct air purifier is an ideal option for those who want the cleanest air possible. This award-winning system purifies the air throughout your entire home in a process inspired by nature. The system is effective in eliminating the three main types of indoor air pollutants, microbes, particulates, and gases, thereby reducing the risk of illness, allergies, and asthma for you and your family members. By using advanced, state-of-the-art technology, the REME HALO® in-duct air purifier removes dust, pet dander, pollen, and other harmful irritants, as well as unpleasant or unwanted odors. The system undergoes testing on both surface and airborne viruses and bacteria, including e-Coli, MRSA, and more.

If you’re interested in the REME HALO® in-duct air purifier but your home or business has a ductless HVAC system, you can choose the Mini Split PHI System by RGF®. This system is a PHI Cell® technology that works to purify the air and can be quickly attached to most mini-split systems, no modifications required. The system comes with a removable, reusable copper/silver ionic germicidal electrostatic filter.

Trane CleanEffects™

Want top-of-the-line air purification without the hassle of having to constantly change the filter? With the innovative Trane CleanEffects™ air filtration system, you can enjoy up to 99.98% removal of airborne allergens without ever having to change the filter.

The standard air cleaners on the market have filters that are very dense. Meaning that they try to stop the dust by trapping it in a slightly porous filter. The fewer the pores the most dust it can trap. However, this not only stops the dust and dirt, but it also stops the air from moving as well. In other words, the amount of air that goes through your system is reduced so you may not be as comfortable. Less air is cleaned efficiently. This is called pressure drop. The revolutionary Trane CleanEffects air filtration system has the lowest pressure drop with the highest efficiency possible. Our unique patented technology is designed to let air flow freely through the most advanced filtration system available. The result, more of your air is cleaned faster and more effectively than anything else on the market.

Five-Inch Media Air Cleaner

If an air cleaner isn’t added to a forced air system, the only filtration for dust, dirt, mold, bacteria, and other contaminants is a thin, one or two-inch filter that is usually made of course fiberglass material. Those one-inch filters prevent air from flowing through the system, increasing static pressure and decreasing the system’s efficiency. A clogged filter can even decrease the lifespan of the equipment by reducing airflow to the point of overheating. A relatively inexpensive option to improve both air flow and air filtration is to add a five-inch media style air cleaner, especially when it’s purchased at the same time as the furnace or air conditioner. Five-inch filters typically need to be changed only once every six months, although individual needs may vary.

Humidifiers

Adding a humidifier to your system will help you to feel warmer without having to turn up the dial on the thermostat. During the winter months, your home will feel dry!! That static in the air, the burning in your sinuses, sore throat, and itchy skin…that’s from the lack of humidity in your home! We can help make you more comfortable! A whole house humidifier doesn’t have to be expensive!! We have green options that will keep your utility bills low and your home comfortable.

Dehumidifiers

When it comes to feeling comfortable, nothing affects your body’s perception of comfort more than the humidity level. Besides lowering your utility bills, humidity control is very important to your health. Since air conditioners work as dehumidifiers, it may be time to replace your unit if you’re experiencing mold or feel uncomfortable in the heat. Additional testing may show that an additional dehumidifier is needed in your home.

Keeping your home’s humidity levels in check can significantly improve your healthfulness and comfort of your home. Industry experts state that keeping your home’s humidity between 30-60% can help reduce the effects of many unwanted conditions. Excess humidity can not only lead to unhealthy home but also cause permanent damage to your home and belongings.

Solar Powered Attic Fans

An attic fan is an excellent way to reduce cooling costs while improving the comfort of your home. A solar attic fan costs about the same as an electric fan to install, but without the added utility cost to run the unit.

Plus, this Energy Star product has a 25 Year Warranty!

Attic Safety/Ceiling Saver Kit

If your system is located in the attic, a clogged drain can pose a serious problem. This kit is designed to protect your ceiling from leaks, saving you hundreds or even thousands of dollars in repairs. This customized kit will safely drain away excess water and will shut your unit down in the event of extraordinary water or pump failure.

Safety Devices

Wahl offers a variety of home safety devices, including carbon monoxide detectors, smoke detectors, and in-duct smoke detectors. A detector should be installed on every floor of your home and checked monthly to ensure that it is functioning properly.

While some UV products are merely UL Registered, the CAP500 models are safety certified by Environmental Testing Laboratories (ETL). This provides peace-of-mind with the assurance that the unit meets or exceeds stringent UL safety standards.

Whole-House Residential Surge Arresters

The typical home sees a 100V surge hourly and a 1000V surge monthly. Protect your appliances, home office, and entertainment centers from these invisible threats by diverting or limiting the surge current with a whole house surge arrester.

Carbon monoxide is a colorless odorless gas created as a by-product of burning fuel that can be fatal. Protect your family with a CO detector and annual inspections on all fuel run appliances. See our blog for more information about carbon monoxide detection and poison prevention

In-Duct Smoke Detectors

The number one reason for death in a fire is smoke inhalation. An in-duct smoke detector is installed inside of the ductwork and not only sounds an alarm when smoke is detected but also shuts down the furnace blower to prevent the spread of toxic smoke.

Wireless Thermostats/Smart Thermostats

Technology today is constantly improving and changing the way that we live. The same advancements that brought us tablets and smartphones are now available in the comfort controls that are used to control HVAC systems.

Wireless Thermostats: Before wireless technology, the placement of a home’s thermostat was limited to where the controls wires could run. As a result, thermostats were sometimes installed in kitchens, by fireplaces, or near windows where they would sense a temperature higher or lower than the rest of the home, creating inconsistent comfort and higher-than-necessary utility bills. Now, with wireless technology, people no longer have to “just deal” with these issues anymore.

Non-Programmable or Programmable Wireless Thermostats: The thermostat itself can be installed wherever the homeowner wants it. A control box on the heating system communicates with the thermostat allowing for complete freedom.

Accessories: A wide variety of accessories can be added to wireless thermostats, including mobile comfort stations (remote controls), humidity sensors and controls, and even internet connections that allow you to control the thermostat from your PC, smartphone, or tablet.

High-Definition/“Smart” Thermostats

Several manufacturers, including our favorites, Trane and Honeywell, offer high-definition thermostats that more closely resemble flat screen televisions than thermostats. These thermostats can be connected to the internet for control outside of the home, as well as live weather updates and much more.

Feel Comfortable Again.
