29 Apr Things You Should Know Before Turning on Your AC
Checklist for Turning On Air Conditioner After Winter
Now that the weather is finally warming up, it’s time to start thinking about getting your air conditioning system ready for summer! Here are a few tips to keep in mind before you turn on your AC.
Spring Air Conditioning Checklist:
- Uncover the Condenser – The part of your air conditioning system that is outside is called the condenser. If you covered the condenser during the winter, be sure to remove it before your turn your AC on.
- Remove Plants and Leaves – Remove leaves from around the condenser, as well as any overgrowth. There shouldn’t be any plants within 18 inches of your unit.
- Change Your Filter – Dirty air filters affect the air quality in your home and make your air conditioning system work harder to push cold air through your home.
