There is nothing more frustrating than a broken air conditioner on a hot summer day. Before you give us a call, here are a few things you might want to check to help get your A/C back up and running.
A/C Checklist:
- Check the Electric – First, make sure that there is electric running to your house. Sometimes homeowners don’t realize that their whole neighborhood is out of power, rather than a broken A/C.
- Change Your Air Filter – Dirty air filters can restrict air flow and keep air from flowing through your home. If they’re not changed regularly, this restriction can even cause the A/C to malfunction.
- Check Your Thermostat – Does your thermostat run on batteries? Check to make sure that your thermostat turns on. If it doesn’t light up, you may need to change the batteries.
