Winter Heating Equipment Checklist

Winter Heating Equipment Checklist

It’s (finally) cold outside. Stay warm this winter by making sure that your heating equipment is in good condition. This checklist will help you heat your home efficiently on cold days.

Heating Checklist:

Replace your air filters. You should inspect, clean and replace your air filters before the heating season begins. If you haven’t done this yet, now is the time! Dirty filters can lead to costly energy bills and damage.

Test your thermostat. Do you have a programmable thermostat installed in your home? Make sure that it’s working efficiently! Test to see if your thermostat kicks on when you set the temperature. If it doesn’t, give us a call and we’ll help troubleshoot what is wrong with your HVAC system.

Check your fuel levels. If you have a propane or oil furnace, make sure that your fuel storage tank is ready to go! You don’t want to run out on a cold day.

Have a professional inspect your equipment. Even if your heating system seems to be working, it’s important to have a professional inspect your equipment. Our technicians will make sure that all of your connections are working properly and diagnose any potential problem areas before you’re stuck without heat.
